Beth,

I just got back from picking up our four Polka Dot Cuties prints. We had them printed at Kadair's, a local camera shop in Baton Rouge that does great work. They're printed on glossy photo paper, in the biggest size they could do--12" x 18", which gave us 12" x 15" of printed image. The images are crisp and clean, and the colors are gorgeous. I'm going to frame them tonight and wrap them, and we'll probably give them to Melissa and Cathy on Friday...Mere thanks is hardly enough for what you did for us. The four of us have a wonderful friendship, bound together by years and years of sharing the good, the bad, the ugly, and the wonderful in our lives. Your art definitely falls under the "wonderful" heading. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for stepping into our world and capturing the spirit of the Polka Dot Cuties. Big hugs!

"Beth is a wonderful artist and person, especially for a sister-in-law. On my living room wall are 4 caricatures she did of my children, her nieces and nephew. They were done in 1997. The ironic part of this is that she captured not only their looks but personalities. I hadn't realized that until I hung them up on the wall this past June when my son was on leave. The caricature of my son shows him on a speedboat, he entered the Navy in Febuary 2003. At the time of the drawing he didn't know what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, except that he enjoyed competitive swimming. She has nurtured my oldest daughter in art. She is now in high school taking art and drafting and hopes to become an architect. My middle daughter is like Beth and loves motorcyles, her caricature shows her on a motorcyle. And last but not least my youngest daughter is shown in a sports car on the beach and cute as can be. She is involved in most school activities, yet likes to have a good time.
Beth also has done caricature work and graphic art for me on a professional basis. One year we hired her (at her day job) to draw caricatures for our Union Christmas Party, she was a hit not only with the children but the members themselves. In fact she drew the whole three hours of the party and everyone received at least one caricature. This year my union local was host of our state convention. She developed the design for the canvas bags for each state delegate. We liked the design so much we used it for everything. Usually I watch Beth as she designs something for me or one of my organizations and in doing so I see how she doesn't stop at an "ok" or "that looks good" design. For Beth the design has to be just right, and in the process of finding the right design she explains why one angle or shape is better than the other for the application."
